As a contrast, today we left the Mediterranean coast under slightly overcast skies and headed into the mountains, more precisely into the Malonie Mountains Nature Park, about 40 km from Palermo.
After what felt like at least 300 bends, we parked our car in a parking lot at about 1,250 meters. Up here, chains are mandatory in winter!
