The S403 leads once around the Hallstättersee and is almost exclusively for gravel bikes: While the west side of the lake is asphalted, the path on the east side is gravel. The tour is not really suitable for road bikes and not exciting enough with an MTB, but with a gravel bike, you have the ideal combination. The tour is garnished with a loop to the Koppenwinkelsee before you head towards Hallstatt to get your classic Hallstatt selfie.
Please remember: On days with heavy visitor traffic, we recommend pushing your bike in Hallstatt and strolling along the Seestraße. This way, you can also enjoy the beautiful details of the historic houses in peace.
