🌞😎 Nice walk in beautiful surroundings and at a considerable height. Some parts are quite a climb. Especially the last 2 km down the mountain were tough; steep and definitely not an average hiking trail due to many loose stones. What was special was that during the walk, circular walk, there was a constant view of the city of Murcia. …

A quite tough walk, a lot of ascending and climbing on rocky paths with loose boulders. So walk carefully! Mostly during the route beautiful vistas of a varied environment.

Had a lovely walk on January 11, 2023 with a constant sun and a temperature of approximately 21 degrees. Perfect walking weather.

What is the best time of year to hike this route?

The Murcia region can get very hot in summer. For a more comfortable experience, the best time to hike this trail is typically during the cooler months, from autumn to spring (October to May). Other smaller sections include the Senda de Las Columnas and Mini Ismael o Cazadores, offering a varied experience.

Is this a good trail for families or beginners?

While alternative paths of varying difficulty exist, it might be challenging for very young children or absolute beginners. Sure-footedness is a must.

What should I bring for this hike?

Given the trail's length and elevation, we recommend bringing plenty of water, snacks, appropriate hiking footwear with good grip, sun protection (hat, sunscreen), and layers of clothing as temperatures can vary. A map or GPS device is also advisable, especially if you plan to explore alternative paths. There is considerable tree cover in some areas, offering shade.

Are there any amenities like cafes or restaurants nearby?

While the trail itself is a natural experience, the starting point is accessible from Murcia, and the route passes by cultural landmarks.
