Highlights are the old Hünstein observation tower - built entirely of wood - with a summit book at the top. Of course we left a little entry!
The old quarry and the path through the "Hinterland Switzerland" are also worth seeing.

Start in Gladenbach via Rachelshausen up to the Hünsteinturm Inn Holzhausen. Then a few meters to the old diabase quarry in Rachelshausen. From there again over forest and field. At the end it goes to the Gladenbacher Schweiz with an impressive rocky landscape. Excellent signposted round!

I drove home in bright sunshine, when I arrived in Gladenbach it was snowing heavily 😅
