The region of Castrelo de Miño, cradle of the famous Ribeiro wine, is a fertile and undulating territory dominated by landscapes of extensive vineyards. Surrounded by mountains, it has a special climate that has favored its use and occupation by different peoples throughout history.
This route that I propose starts from the city of Ourense and takes you to visit the Val de Allariz and its villages until you reach Celanova and return, crossing the Arnoia river, to the Castrelo de Miño reservoir. In the last part of the route, you will go up the Miño River along its right bank until you return to the capital.
There are 107 kilometers and just over 1,700 meters of positive elevation gain in a demanding and somewhat leg-breaking route, although without major technical complications. The last 35 kilometers are very bearable; so if you get past the first 70, you'll have done the hardest part and the rest will be enjoying rolling along the riverbank.
The Route begins and ends at the FF station. DC. from Ourense, in case you want to combine public transport to get there.
