Hiking

This hike takes you to a special place: the longest accessible gorge in Upper Austria. The Dr. Vogelgesang gorge is over 1.5 kilometers long. The path through the wildly romantic canyon leads you over 500 steps and wooden footbridges, constantly accompanied by the sound of the Fallbach. A unique experience.

After you have wandered through the gorge, you are soon in front of the Bosruck hut and follow the fall stream a bit further. Soon you will see the Rohrauerhaus in front of you. How about a little break?

The path takes you two more kilometers uphill until you reach the Hofalm. Here you can enjoy a fantastic mountain panorama. The ideal place for a long break with a hearty snack. The last three kilometers to the starting point of the tour you walk relaxed downhill.

Dr. Vogelgesang Gorge

Highlight (Segment) • Gorge

The path through the gorge is more like a walk, because of the footbridges, the terrain is also quite easy. However, make better during the week since the gorge is rather crowded. Considering the well-kept jetties, the entrance fee of EUR 4.70 is quite reasonable.

View of Bosruck

Highlight • Viewpoint

At 1,992 meters, the Bosruck is the westernmost mountain in the Ennstal Alps on the border between Upper Austria and Styria. From here you can enjoy a great view of the limestone giant. It is separated from the main ridge of the Haller Walls by the Pyhrgasgatterl and forms its own, ridge-like mountain stock.

June 14, 2022,3-Hütten Tour durch die Vogelgesang Klamm
The 3 hut hike takes you through the Dr. Vogelgesang Gorge to the Bosruckhütte, on to the Rohrauerhaus and the Hofalm and takes you back to your starting point.

Showing Translation

A beautiful gorge, the longest in Upper Austria and the second longest in Austria. Not quite without effort with 333 meters in altitude over 500 steps and 2.74 km long.
Then we passed 3 huts. A stop is worthwhile for all three 😉😊
The tour is not all the way to the parking lot because a thunderstorm surprised us and …

The start and finish point is the parking lot at Dr. Vogelgesang - Klamm, then it goes through the spectacular gorge over wooden paths and ladders to the gorge exit, on to the Bosruckhütte and then uphill to the Rohrauer Haus (friends of nature). There the path branches off to the left in the direction of Hofalm and leads along …
