At the foot of the Bischofsmütze, the distinctive landmark of the region, is the idyllic Almsee, the scenic highlight of the tour. In the immediate vicinity you will find two beautiful managed huts, where you can relax and enjoy the peace and flair of this place. You can also park your bike at the huts and explore the area on foot from here.
This short and easy tour takes you from Filzmoos along the moderately uphill toll road on the east side of the valley to the end of the valley, where the Hofalmen are located. Both the Obere and the Untere Hofalm could hardly be more beautiful and invite you to linger with culinary delicacies.
The way back to Filzmoos is first on forest roads on the western side of the stream, then in the lower part on the eastern side, before you reach the toll road again and get to the starting point of the tour.
Tip: Shortly before the Hofalmen, a variant branches off to the right to the wonderfully situated Sulzenalm. Another nice variant is the Kirchgasshütte on the Aualm, which you can reach via the Marcheggsattel in the lower part of the Hinterwinkl.
