This tour lets you experience a magical world between silver firs, deep spruce and fir forests, and the boulder landscape of the Flims landslide. In the middle: four lakes that sparkle for you on sunny summer days.

Starting from the Flims Waldhaus playground, the first lake that awaits you is Lag Prau Pulté. A little back, past the Pultébach and over the main road to the Prau la Selva sports center, you then march on level paths to Lag Prau Tuleritg.

This is followed by the deep turquoise Caumasee, then you hike across the Conn forest clearing and past the Il Spir viewing platform to Crestasee. You can treat yourself to a break and refreshment in the local natural swimming pool – then the hike leads back to Flims Waldhaus through the spectacular Felsbach gorge.

The lake has no surface inflow. It drains in the fall and remains empty in the winter. At some point during the snowmelt in the spring, it begins to fill through an underground inflow. When it's full, it feeds the Lag Prau Tuleritg through an above-ground outflow, which then has only an underground outflow. This is a peculiarity, and in the spring, it's impossible to predict exactly when it will fill.

This lake always dries up by the end of the summer due to the seepage of water underground as the lake has no outlet. Every year with the onset of snowmelt, the lake is refilled by meltwater from the mountains above.

There is no tourist infrastructure at the lake and access from the shore is usually very difficult. Unfortunately, swimming is not possible here. Overall, however, the lake is beautifully embedded in the landscape, and a visit to this beautiful and quiet spot is highly recommended.

The first two lakes were almost completely dry, with only a puddle in each.
Lake Cauma has very little water.
It was a beautiful tour.
