This circular route takes you through dark forests via a part of the forest nature trail and the Herrenwieser saddle to the approximately 1000 meter high Badenerhöhe.
The second highest mountain in the northern part of the national park has always been a popular destination. Cattle grazed on it until the early 20th century. In 1999, hurricane "Lothar" also deforested larger areas. So
