Wine Hiking Trail from Obertürkheim to Untertürkheim

Stuttgart and its vineyards - it's a love story as written in a book. It is stuffed with romantic views, good food and fine wines. And here you can immerse yourself in this story - on the wine trail from Obertürkheim to Untertürkheim. Be sure to plan a whole day for this, even if the route is “only” a good nine kilometers long. Because along the way you will come across wineries, wine presses and Wengerthäusle, which invite you to take a culinary break.

The starting point of this pleasure tour is the train station in Obertürkheim, which you can later travel to from your destination in Untertürkheim by train. You hike through the village to the northeast, past the Zaiß winery and the Petruskirche, into the vineyards. You walk through the village of Uhlbach and a short time later the fairytale view of the well-known burial chapel of Katharina von Württemberg opens up, which is enthroned on a hill in the distance.

You walk towards the chapel in peace and quiet and can take another break in the Rotenberg wine press behind Rotenberg. This belongs to the winegrowers' cooperative "Collegium Wirtemberg" and not only offers a good drop. From there it is not far to the stage destination.
