Linking these two red-rated trails is a fan favourite for a generous helping of tech with a sprinkling of flow added further down the hill.

While both Wibbly Wobbly and Watts Occurring are red rated, the first is more of a tech trail, while the second blends both tech and flow.

This is definitely one for the more confident and experienced mountain bikers out there, as it's rough and features plenty of drops and jumps. Get it right, and it'll feel like you're flying.

The good news is that if you need a break after Wibbly Wobbly, there's a short fire road link to get to the start of Watts Occurring.

Rather sprint right through from one to the next, race-style? Be my guest.

Wibbly Wobbly Trail

Highlight (Segment) • MTB Park

Wibbly Wobbly is a trail of three parts; an open start with plenty of rock drops; a narrower sweeping singletrack section through the woods with some roots to navigate; and then the final part down zig-zagging to the fire road on more open terrain, and less technical.

Watts Occurring Trail (Red)

Highlight (Segment) • MTB Park

According to Bike Park Wales, the red-rated Watts Occurring track is one of the most varied on the whole hillside and they rate it as a blend of flow and tech features.

Watts Occurring starts halfway down the hill from the fire road, so you can ride a number of different trails from the top to get there, including Sixtapod, Wibbly Wobbly and ACDC.

You'll find some great features for getting airtime near the top, with rollers, berms, shark fins and step downs. Then after a series of small berms, a long rock garden awaits and the trail finishes with a jump.

Handily, it brings you straight back to the uplift, so you can lap straight back up again.

Bike Park Wales Uplift Shuttle

Highlight • Rest Area

This is where you'll find the uplift buses for Bike Park Wales. You'll need to book to use these with a day pass, but it's so worth it as you'll be able to get so many more runs in and save your legs for the descents!

To get here from the trail centre and café, take the trail named Kermit to the left of the building, or alternatively you can pedal up the fire road.
