Hiking

On this leisurely tour through the meadows and forests around Brunschkopf, you'll visit several huts and enjoy countless views. Access to the hiking trail is possible from the three towns of Mösern, Seefeld, and Leutasch. This variant starts at Seefeld's Seekirchl church and continues via Wildmoos. From the starting point, follow the signs toward Wildmoos and soon walk through the Kirchwaldsiedlung settlement. Finally, you climb gently uphill through the forest. By the time you reach the Wildmoosalm, you've already covered most of the elevation gain. Here, you can reward yourself with a break, perhaps on the sun terrace.

You then continue hiking to the aperiodic Wildmoossee lake. You'll actually need a bit of luck to see the lake filled with water. Next, you'll reach Lottensee – another aperiodic natural gem that's just as fond of playing hide-and-seek. If you can't find a lake here either, the cozy Lottenseehütte will treat you to all sorts of homemade delicacies and encourage you to continue your hike with fresh coffee and cake. You also have another chance to see a lake (this time, definitely!) before returning to the starting point: Lake Möserer See is even considered the warmest bathing lake in Tyrol.

Wildmoos Lake

Highlight • Lake

The Wildmoossee is a so-called aperiodic lake. This means that there is not always water here. But even if that is the case and a few cows graze here instead of blue waters, this place is a magical one.

A natural phenomenon with constantly changing water levels.

The snack bar was built in 1968 and remains a popular year-round destination for leisurely hikers, gourmets, (e-)bikers, and cross-country skiers, located directly on the ephemeral Lottensee. On forest paths of varying widths to the 3 lakes, the first two of which only have water in certain years. The last section from Möserer Lake was very attractive with the fern-covered slopes and the occasional view of the surrounding mountains.
And I'm happy that my fitness is improving.

A pretty good and beautiful tour. Lake Möserer is a beautiful spot. Unfortunately, Lake Lotten and Lake Wildsee were out of water, which is supposed to only happen after long periods of rain.
(aperiodic lakes).
There's a small pool with water at the Wildmoosalm. Our last stretch from there towards the valley was a bit rough terrain. Not necessarily recommended; …

Today we went on a wonderful snow hike near Mösern. We started from a parking lot near the Lottenseehütte. Through the beautiful winter forest to the idyllic Möserer Lake, which we circled. Then continue gently up through the snow-covered forests to the Wildmoosalm and the white plateau. Past the Wildmoos holiday home and through a golf course back to Lottensee. …
