Cycling on the sunny side is particularly pleasant and relaxing. This is fully confirmed on this beautiful loop, which, thanks to the manageable elevation gain and distance, is suitable for a brisk half-day excursion. You'll enjoy this loop if you have no singletrack experience but are keen to try out simple, narrow paths and trails.
Starting from Planet Planai, you turn onto the Enns Cycle Path, where you'll complete the first three kilometers. Once warmed up, turn left and begin the climb up to Birnberg.
The loop maintains its varied character, and you continue along the edge of the plateau on asphalt, gravel, and pleasant, small paths and trails. Time and again, you'll enjoy beautiful panoramic views of Schladming and the Lower Tauern, and you'll pass lovely places to stop for a break. At the Zechmannhof riding stables, you can choose whether to take the descent into the Enns Valley on asphalt or via the Vorberg Trail (komoot.de/highlight/911088). From Pichl, you'll cycle back to Schladming via the Enns Cycle Path.
