Panorama Runde| 305 - Mountain biking in Schladming Dachstein

The Panorama Loop takes you in a large loop up to some of the region's most beautiful spots and offers fantastic views of the Dachstein and Schladminger Tauern. At 58 kilometers and 1,550 meters of elevation gain, the tour is a full-day undertaking, and you shouldn't set off too late.

From Planet Planai in Schladming, you turn onto the Ennstal Cycle Path and follow it for a short while. Now the first few meters of elevation gain follow to the Ramsau district of Rössing, from where you reach Ramsau via a beautiful section through the forest. Before reaching the town center, you turn south and climb the Kulmberg, the first great viewpoint of the loop.

The descent brings you back to Ramsau. Now the long climb up to the Dachstein Südwandbahn cable car begins. Even on the ascent, you can enjoy fantastic views of the Schladminger Tauern. Once at the top, you can take in the impressive south faces while enjoying a refreshment. The following section, over alpine and meadow paths to the Bachlalm, is a special treat.

A descent on asphalt takes you down to the main road, which you follow for two kilometers toward Ramsau. You turn onto a forest road that takes you downhill to a reservoir. This is followed by the final climb of the loop and another descent to Mandling. You can then cycle comfortably back to Schladming via the Enns Cycle Path.
