Mittersill: Up the Pihapper - Hohe Tauern National Park

The tour starts at the Berghof in Hollersbach. Hollersbach itself can be easily reached with the Pinzgauer local train and buses, even without a car. You follow the path with the number 934 up to the Pölsneralm, then walk over the “Mittersiller Platte” first to the west, then to the south to the pre-summit of the Pihapper, the Plugsberg. You are already at 2,414 meters. You can easily manage the last 100!

A narrow path leads you along the ridge to the rise of the summit. Finally, special experience, a head for heights and surefootedness are required: Here you have to master a short climbing passage with a ladder and rope passage.
