Cycling

On this tour you circle the Hohe Salve and its neighboring mountains. You come through well-known winter sports locations, drive through quiet valleys, along roaring streams and get to know the beautiful Brixental. On this lap, too, you can get back on anywhere along the route.

If you start the tour near Scheffau, you follow the cycle path no.14 and drive through Söll. In Am Steinerbach there is an underpass that leads you under the main road. The path then leads past the Itter gondola lift. Then you will pass the beautiful Itter Castle and drive down a steep road to Hopfgarten. You follow the Brixentaler Ache to the electricity station, where you branch off to the south and follow the Windauer Ache into the beautiful valley. This section is beautifully landscaped and almost free of traffic.

At the level of the Gasthof Jägerhäusl you cross the Windauer Ache and now follow the road out of the valley to Westendorf. The following twelve kilometers are completed with enjoyment on beautiful side roads through the Brixental until you reach Kirchberg. In Brixen, but also in Kirchberg, there are many opportunities to take a break and strengthen yourself for the second half of the tour.

After Kirchberg you follow the well-developed bike path along the tracks and later along the Achauer Ache. You come through nice places like Reith and enjoy driving towards the Kaiser Mountains, which you can see here again and again in great perspectives. Before you turn back into the Söllandl, you still have a short, somewhat steeper climb behind you. Immediately afterwards, the route branches off to the west and you follow the cycle path No. 26, past the famous Stanglwirt, uphill towards Going. From Going you continue on cycle path no.14 and shortly afterwards you have reached the starting point in Scheffau again.

Top among the possible e-bike routes at the foot of the Wilder Kaiser massif. Spicy, but doable with the support. Take it easy and take plenty of time to enjoy the fantastic panoramas.

Started the volley round in glorious sunshine. This time over the Schwarzsee and a detour to the Hollenauer Kreuz. The view from up there is simply wonderful again and again 👍😊.

We were filming at the Bergdoktor today. Unfortunately, Martin Gruber didn't have a free appointment for us today. 👨‍⚕️ 🥼

Beautiful e-bike tour in the Wilder Kaiser / Hohe Salve area. Warning: The descent from Hintersteinersee is partly a trail and it is better to push the bike. Very slippery here.

The Salvenrunde is always a wonderful ride. A little detour to the Straubinger Käsealm is well worth it. Especially recommended when the weather is nice. Very rustic, fantastic view!
