Short but really great hike with a conclusion in the Taufganghütte that makes the heart of the hungry hiker leap for joy. Retreat recommended.
Mother's day hike on the Swabian Alb. With ideal hiking weather, we were drawn to the Swabian Alb today. The Hossinger Leiter always arouses enthusiasm among the boys, the wonderful view, impressive flowers and a fairytale ascent through a wild and romantic gorge make the eaves "Hossinger Leiter" a varied and unforgettable hiking pleasure.
So the eaves near Albstadt are among the most beautiful hiking trails on the Alb. 😁 If only it wasn't such a chore to get there. 😡 The Hossinger ladder is great to walk. Varied, interesting with great vantage points. Thumbs up 👍 Only the last two kilometers are a bit boring. Otherwise this tour is really nice. 😁
At short notice, Frank and I decided to hike the Hossinger Leiter ridge path together today, Sunday afternoon. Despite the not exactly warm summer weather, but dry, we were able to start the hike at around 1 p.m. The journey took around half an hour. A "highly varied hike" is what the description says, which we can definitely confirm! We go up to the Hossinger Leiter through the beautiful, green Brunnental. There you can see the impressive rock formations of the Albtrauf and then gradually continue up to the rock plateau of the Gräbelesberg. A really special rocky area that slopes steeply on three sides and offers breathtaking views of the valley. No wonder that our ancestors settled there - protected - in the Hallstatt period. We agreed that we had to go there again! When we got back down the sun came out, so maybe we started a little too early in the afternoon? But it was definitely beautiful!
Today we walked one of our old home loops, quite formally this time. Starting at the start/finish point in Brunnental and following the recommended walking direction. This even gave us some new impressions and, passing Hossingen, a bit of a nostalgia. 🤔🥰 Hossingen and the surrounding area are only beautiful four times a year: in spring, summer, fall, and winter. 😉 If you want to follow the "Hossinger Leiter" trail, you should do the loop exactly as it is. Best wishes, Sabine and Uwe 🍀🙋♀️🙋♂️
Today's hike started at the parking lot at the Traufganghütte Brunnental. The catering in the same does not start again until July 8th. At our early start we still had a very pleasant temperature. The uphill sections were then almost without exception in the shady forest. Both on the ascent and then on the descent, long stretches of pleasant hiking trails had to be covered. Various, often short deviations, time and again gave us wonderful views of the surrounding communities as well as the landscape. The cairn field was a bit of a disappointment. There were a lot of stones here, but almost no cairns. It seems that hard-working builders are still being sought here. From the beginning of the descent at the latest, we were happy about our very early start today. From this point on, the heat prevailed up here as well. For us it was a very successful and pleasant hike.
Escaped the mist and found the sun. Wonderful weather, blue skies throughout, autumn showed itself from its most beautiful side on this round.
