Impressive gorges, magical forests, clear spring water and spectacular views. The "Sieben-Täler-Rund" between the Rottenburg villages of Bad Niedernau, Weiler and Schwalldorf is the perfect premium hiking trail for real adventurers.
The approximately six kilometer long hike starts at the parking lot at the Kurpark in Bad Niedernau. You first hike through the beautifully designed park and then start to climb the historic Schlösslesberg. Once at the top, you suddenly find yourself in an open field with wonderful views of the Swabian Alb.
Then the next highlights await you: Past the Sieben-Täler-Höhle you make your way towards Katzenbachtal. You hike through the valley along the gently babbling brook and then follow the path up towards Schwalldorf. This is where the wildly romantic Wolfsschlucht begins. In any case, sure-footedness is mandatory for crossing it - a truly unforgettable experience beckons. Then you descend back into the Katzenbachtal and hike back to your starting point.
Tip: If the tour through the Wolfschlucht is too adventurous for you, you can also bypass this section via the Katzenbachtal.
