Mössingen: Firstwaldrunde

Around ten kilometers peppered with ever-changing landscape impressions, the likes of which can only be found in the Swabian Alb – that's what you can expect on this circular tour. We'll just say this much: colorful orchards, a magical forest, fantastic views, and idyllic paths with the occasional adventurous wooden walkway. Ready? Then let's get started on the "Firstwaldrunde."

As befits a true Früchtetrauf premium hiking trail, the first highlight isn't far away. From the starting point, you'll walk into a beautiful forest and reach a soothing barefoot path just a good kilometer after your start. After perhaps taking a short break there, the idyllic Jägerwegle (hunter's path) welcomes you with its delicate wooden walkways over deeply cut streams.

Now you face the only climb: the Firstberg. On the way there, you'll pass a spot reminiscent of the "Fat Oak" – formerly the most powerful tree in Baden-Württemberg. Once you reach the top of the mountain, you'll finally be treated to a view of the Albtrauf, making all your efforts worthwhile.

What's missing now to complete a classic Früchtetrauf tour? Of course, a few orchards. These, along with a few other viewpoints, some even equipped with loungers, will accompany you back to your starting point. You can now prepare a culinary delight at the barbecue area there while your children let off steam.
