The hiking railway is a family-friendly cycle path that leads from Mosbach to Mudau. The Odenwald Express used to run here. Today you can cycle on the old railway line through an idyllic landscape.
The route is easy but continuously uphill. You drive sometimes over wide fields and meadows, sometimes through deep forests, where you can enjoy the nature of the Odenwald to the fullest.
On the way you will come across old train stations again and again. From small shelters in the open country to magnificent train station buildings in pretty towns, everything is included.
When you arrive in Mudau, to round off your tour, you can pay a visit to the old steam locomotive that once served the beautiful route.
