Miner's Path Trailhead

Highlight • Trail

Miner's Path begins from the edge of Flumerfelt Park and winds its way along the historic route of miners who climbed to work at the McGillivray Mine between 1909 & 1957. These days hikers use the trail to access Rainbow Falls which can be found less than a kilometer from the park. It's a popular place for families due to the short walk and park facilities such as a splash pad, picnic areas, and the so called "Biggest Piggy Bank in the World"

Rainbow Falls is easily accessible via a short path from Coleman. The small, but peaceful waterfall can be reached year-round though snowshoes or spikes may be necessary during the winter months.

Rising above the Crowsnest Pass, Saskatoon Mountain rewards the climb with wide-ranging views across the surrounding peaks, valleys, and foothills. The exposed summit provides a stark contrast to the forested sections of the route below, with open alpine terrain and unobstructed sightlines in multiple directions. On a clear day, the elevated vantage point offers a good perspective on the rugged landscape that defines this corner of the Canadian Rockies.
