A ride through the city and a dip into the quieter Collserola define this other classic of Barcelona cycling. The terrain features steep climbs, but inexperienced cyclists wanting to explore the Tibidabo area can test themselves on this short Route.
The route starts from Gran Vía and crosses the Gràcia neighbourhood to reach the upper part of the city. From there, it links up with the Carretera de la Arrabassada and ascends its winding curves to the Tibidabo crossroads. Next, you head towards Vallvidrera, passing by the communication tower, to enter a surprising mountain road that descends through forests to Molins de Rei. This town, located on the other side of Collserola, is a perfect place to take a break before starting the return journey.
The return to Barcelona follows the same road, this time in an upward direction. The pass has a constant gradient that allows for a comfortable pace and enjoyment of the surroundings. Upon reaching the summit in Vallvidrera, the descent towards the city begins, where one of Barcelona's most visited viewpoints awaits you. Vía Augusta and Carrer de Balmes lead you back to the centre, with countless options to put the finishing touch to the Route.
