The circuit leads from Rottweil on the Neckar Valley cycle path past imposing castle ruins, climbs up to Epfendorf in the picturesque valley of the Schliches and leads from Irslingen via the Heidelberg Black Forest Lake Constance cycle path back to Rottweil.

The tour starts at the train station in Rottweil. From there it goes north along the west bank of the Neckar through the beautiful Neckar valley. Shortly before the confluence of the Neckar and Schliches, you turn east and follow the river for a few kilometers. Around Irslingen you cycle south and follow the Heidelberg-Schwarzwald-Bodensee cycle path until you have returned to Rottweil.
