April 30, 2025,Unteremmendorfer Felsentor – Toller Blick vom Langfelsen ins Altmühltal
We started above Unteremmendorf from a lovely, shady parking lot in the forest.

The hiking trails are well-maintained, and it was a wonderful hike through the beech forests in spring. The Emmendorfer Felsentor is truly a highlight. From the Langfelsen, you get a magnificent view of the Altmühl Valley.

Beautiful path through the forest, with a beautiful view over the Altmühltal.
Of the three castles that you can see on the way, only a few stones are still standing

After the heat bothered us yesterday, we chose a forest and rock hike today and that was just right😊
The route took us past great highlights, and we really liked it 😊

On the way back home 🚗, I also included a short tour this time. I allowed myself a slightly longer break in the Altmühl Valley 🏞️. On the way there, I had already noticed this valley (from the A9 🛣️) and quickly found a tour online 😁.

Very, very nice hike starting in Kinding, mostly along the
Altmühltal Panoramaweg and the Kinding Castle Trail.
Right at the beginning there is the beautiful bridge and the even more beautiful hermitage. Then we go through the beautiful forest where, in addition to the barrows, there are always nice picnic opportunities and viewpoints. The rock gate is absolutely worth seeing. …

Because it was so beautiful, once again. Today, on this public holiday, we were drawn to the Altmühltal again. Near Unteremmendorf, we went through the beautiful, green landscape on the Burgenweg Kinding, which also touches the Altmühltaler Panoramaweg. With some highlights like the "Klause", a 10-meter-long cave with a small rock gate. The large Torfelsen also impressed. The Altmühltal is …

Out and about in the Altmühl Valley with my four girls, Kerstin & Karin & Fine & Flocke 🚶‍♀️🐩🐕🚶 We hiked a section of the Kinding Castle Trail.
It begins at the parking lot opposite the "Roman Bridge" built in 1784. After a short stretch on a dirt road up the slope to the edge of the forest, there …
