Pink Lake, named after the family that settled on its shores in 1826, is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful lakes in Gatineau Park. This makes the trail that circles it one of the most popular in the region. Two parking lots provide easy access by car.
This route begins at the parking area on the west side. You'll soon find yourself alongside the lovely turquoise water. Along the way, an old mica mine might inspire some to explore. Finally, on the south shore, stairs lead to a lookout point high above the lake. It's certainly the most beautiful viewpoint on the trail.
This lake is meromictic, meaning that the surface waters do not mix with the deeper waters. Its ecosystem is fragile, which is why dogs are not allowed on the trail.
