The Champlain Trail is a treasure trove of magnificent views. Though short, it boasts three splendid lookouts along the Eardley Escarpment. There's no better way to admire the St. Lawrence Lowlands.
The first lookout, at the trailhead, is the best known and most popular in all of Gatineau Park. Located at the end of the Champlain Parkway, it attracts hikers, motorists, and cyclists who come to admire the view.
Next, follow the Champlain Trail to discover the other two lookouts along a pleasant nature trail. The first has a bench, while the second, protected by a railing, extends even further into the void, offering a breathtaking panorama.
Back at the trailhead parking lot, picnic tables invite you to linger one last time in this sublime landscape.
