Pittock Trail

This loop sits just south of Woodstock near Pittock Reservoir, winding through a mix of conifer forest, hardwood stands, and wetland sections. You’ll catch a brief glimpse of the reservoir, but most of the walk stays in the woods on wide, easy-to-follow paths. Expect plenty of birds along the marsh and the chance to hear coyotes at dusk. Mosquitoes can be heavy in summer, so bring repellent (or keep a quick pace). The trail can be muddy, so waterproof shoes help. A mellow option close to town, especially nice if you prefer a sheltered forest stroll over big views.
