This tour takes you past the two imposing Chiemgau monasteries of Baumburg and Seeon. Holy Roler - a tour with history, peace and quiet and just the right terrain to loosen your legs and clear your head.
It starts in Altenmarkt an der Alz. Now it's time to get out of the village and into the countryside. Farm tracks alternate with gravel sections and quiet side roads until the view of Baumburg Monastery opens up. You can see the imposing towers rising into the sky from afar.
Across meadow and gravel paths, the route continues into the Alztal valley. A climb, a flowing section, let your gaze wander and you've already reached the shores of the Chiemsee. Now you have the finest gravel under your studs, roll through small sections of forest along the water until you reach the Hofcafé Utz. The homemade cake provides the necessary energy for the last section along quiet field paths, past Seeon Monastery to Altenmarkt.
