From Plessis-Belleville train station, head to Montagny and its Renaissance bell tower before entering the Ermenonville forest, with its stunning landscapes, sand, and pine trees.
After the Bruyères de Frais-Vent moors, the route leads to the Chaalis estate: abbey remains, the Jacquemart-André Museum, a rose garden, and a park classified as a "Remarkable Garden." Further on, the Sorcière Stone offers a beautiful view of the forest canopy. The village of Ermenonville, its castle, and the Jean-Jacques Rousseau Park are worth a stop.
The route continues along the Vieux Chemin de Meaux, the Mer de Sable, then the cobbled Route du Prince, a nod to Paris-Roubaix. In Thiers-sur-Thève, the castle ruins mark the exit from the forest. The route then reaches Pontarmé, the Chantilly Forest, and the peaceful Commelles ponds, overlooked by the Château de la Reine Blanche.
The stage ends at the Orry-la-Ville – Coye train station, in the heart of the Chantilly massif. This stage of the Tour de l'Oise gravel can be completed independently, from one station to the next.
