This leisurely circular hike takes you through the diverse landscape of the Hildesheim Forest. Starting at the sports fields in Neuhof, the trail follows narrow paths directly into the deciduous forest – either flooded with light or pleasantly shaded depending on the season. The starting point of the hike is in the Hildesheim district of Neuhof.
The route is mostly flat and ideal for a relaxing, almost two-hour hike. About halfway through the hike, you'll reach the panoramic trail, from which you can see far across the fields to the city of Hildesheim with its distinctive church steeples. From mid-April to the end of May, the rapeseed fields here glow a rich yellow. Perfect for connoisseurs, families, or a short break in the middle of nature!
