The Steger Sawmill (Steger Säge) is a significant example of a Venetian sawmill powered by the waters of the Rio Ciamin. This type of construction spread to the north of the Serenissima as early as the 13th century. After its renovation, the building was used as the seat of the Visitor Center of the Sciliar - Catinaccio Natural Park. Until 2021, before moving to Tires, the building served as the Natural Park House. It is now an information center which can be visited in the summer months. In addition to the sawmill, it is also possible to visit the adjoining house of the sawyer, on the upper floor.

Unfortunately, the route was not completely recorded.

A very nice tour! Good sure-footedness is required and you shouldn't have too much fear of heights. Attention, the route is slightly straightened by the zig-zag through the Bärenfalle, at the end of the tour it was almost 21km
