MTB-Tour IV Oberbozen – Rittner Horn

This tour starts in Oberbozen and combines a relaxed ascent with a scenic high-altitude loop around the Rittner Horn. Comfortable, but by no means boring – a tour for connoisseurs with athletic ambitions, offering a truly scenic experience.

First, you'll take a leisurely ride through the forest towards Pemmern. Sometimes on small roads, sometimes on wider paths, you'll make your way up the steadily ascending but easily manageable path. From Pemmern, you have the option of hopping on the cable car, saving you a whopping 500 meters of elevation gain.

At the top, a panorama awaits you that encompasses almost the entire South Tyrolean mountain world: from the Dolomites to the Sarntal Alps and the Ortler Group. The alpine path winds gently across the expansive alpine pastures, past huts, pasture fences, and old stone walls. The route is consistently pleasant to ride, with short undulations and hardly any technical challenges.

At the Gasteiger Saddle, the view of the mountains opens up once again—an ideal spot to catch your breath. The return route then follows the same route back to the valley, with plenty of opportunities to stop for refreshments or simply relax along the way.
