Fantastic views and magnificent nature await you on this circular tour. It starts at Freiburg's Stadtgarten (City Garden). You'll begin by climbing the Schlossberg (Castle Hill). A bench and wooden lounger at the highest point, next to a summit cross, invite you to linger.

Just over a third of the way through the tour, you'll reach the cozy St. Ottilien Inn, a perfect place for a delicious meal. A highlight of the tour is the Schlossberg Tower. From the viewing platform high above the treetops, you'll enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of Freiburg and the surrounding area.

Along the way, you'll find numerous information boards and interactive stations offering fascinating insights into the fortress and natural history of the Schlossberg. Before you end the circular tour in the Stadtgarten (City Garden), the Greiffenegg-Schlössle beer garden invites you to a delightful end to your hiking day.

Today we started our first tour in Freiburg. A discovery tour in the fog, unfortunately. The tour was still OK though. Lots of forest and quiet because of the weather. A stop at St. Ottilie was possible. We finished at the Martinsbräu brewery 🥩🍺😋.
