Bike trail Cerklje 7: Jezerca

If you're looking for a sporting challenge, this tour is perfect for you: From the starting point in Cerklje na Gorenjskem, you'll ride along one of Slovenia's most famous climbs to the Planina Jezerca mountain pasture. The paved road takes you to an altitude of 1,420 meters and climbs a total of 1,000 meters in just 13 kilometers.

The route starts at the Cerklje tourist information center and initially leads you to Grad. From there, it gets challenging: between 10 and 15 percent gradient, with hardly any breaks to catch your breath – but plenty of panoramic views and a true mountain road feeling. Shortly before the village of Ambrož pod Krvavcem, you can recharge your batteries at an inn with a panoramic terrace before tackling the final bends to the finish.

At the top, you'll reach the mountain pasture with a small lake, parking, and a mountain view. There's no restaurant here, so bring plenty of drinks – and a windbreaker, as it can get chilly and windy. Afterwards, you return to the valley the same way.
