The tour up the Triebenstein is short but tough. Ideal if you're short on time but still want to work up a sweat and savor that summit feeling.
Starting at the top of the pass in Hohentauern, you can warm up comfortably.
A little later, things change: you'll climb over 400 meters in altitude in a short, steep climb. Surefootedness is particularly important in the upper section – especially in wet conditions or on slippery autumn leaves.
But at the summit, the effort is immediately forgotten: the panoramic view over the Paltental Valley is wide, open, and absolutely worth it. It's a perfect place to take a short breather and enjoy the tranquility of the summit.
