Easily accessible by the Alpette cable car, this family-friendly loop immerses you in the heart of the Lacs des Petites Rousses plateau, more commonly known as the Plateau des Lacs inférieurs. This natural area is a national heritage site.
Between open mountain pastures, peat bogs, and carpets of blueberry bushes, the plateau's five lakes reveal themselves one by one. Each displays its own character and colors. The banks, blooming with rhododendrons, the reflections of the high altitudes, the wetlands, and the scattered groves create a unique atmosphere. Even when the weather turns cloudy, the magic of the place remains intact.
This gentle exploration, punctuated by panoramic views of the Belledonne, Taillefer, Grandes Rousses, and Écrins mountain ranges, adapts to all paces. Ideal for a half-day, it becomes a real break if you take the time to spend the day there, enhanced by a picnic facing the water, feet in the grass, and silence all around.
