This approximately 13-kilometer tour starts at Lauffen train station and takes you through the wine-growing landscapes of southern Germany to Kirchheim am Neckar. Right from the start, you'll discover cultural traces: Friedrich Hölderlin's birthplace, the Regiswindis Church, and the Hölderlin Memorial dominate the townscape.
You'll then hike steadily uphill to the vineyards surrounding Herrlesberg, where you'll enjoy sweeping views of the Neckar Valley. In Neckarwestheim, a short detour to Liebenstein Castle is worthwhile before continuing through fields and forests. At the destination, Kirchheim am Neckar train station awaits for a relaxing return journey by train.
