There's nothing like a leisurely tour with the whole family, at the end of which a rustic hut with regional delicacies awaits. The tour to the Hubalm falls exactly into this category.
The hike begins in the center of Hüttschlag at the Hüttschlag town center bus stop. First you follow the road to a hiking trail that leads you directly into a forest. After a while you reach a forest road. As if out of nowhere, a chapel suddenly appears on the side of the path. Next to it babbles a stream that takes you from here to the Hubalm.
Once you arrive at the rustic hut, you will be treated to homemade delicacies. The delicious meal is usually accompanied by a shot of schnapps as a "farewell".
Tip: Be sure to keep your eyes open along the way - the Hubalm area is one of the areas in the Grossarltal with the most wildlife. With a bit of luck, you might see a deer or, if you are out and about in the fall, hear a stag rutting.
