The Almen-Panoramaweg leads you through natural alpine flora across the alpine pastures at the foot of the Scharnik. The area is considered one of the most beautiful landscapes in the Kreuzeck group. It starts at the parking lot on the Leppner Alm.
From here, you hike up to the herdsman's hut of the Ochsner Alm, where you can take a first break and refresh yourself with a cool drink or fortify yourself with a snack. Afterwards, you continue along the mountain meadows. You will pass the picturesque Leppner Knappensee, where you can linger and even cool off in the water.
From the lake, the scenic route leads you on to the Unteralmhütte on the Weneberger Alm. Here too, you have the opportunity to treat yourself to a hearty mountain snack. While doing so, you will also enjoy the magnificent panoramic view of the Lienz Dolomites.
The last section of the circular hike leads you back to the Leppner Alm.
