Fieberbrunner Almrunde

The starting point of this beautiful tour is the "Eiserne Hand" inn, which is around five kilometers from Fieberbrunn and which you can easily reach from there by bike. Here you can treat yourself to a coffee before your tour to get going. Or you use the power of anticipation and save the retreat for later.

In any case, it can't hurt to start this tour, which is around 32 kilometers long, well strengthened, because there are a few meters of altitude awaiting you. Most of them in the first ten kilometers: along the Schwarzache it goes very leisurely at first, later quite steeply uphill, until you finally reach the highest point of the tour at around 1,650 meters at the valley station of the Reiter-Ost-Bahn. Shortly thereafter you will pass a small reservoir with an inviting bench: perfect for a little rest, which is even nicer if you have packed some provisions in your backpack. If not, no problem either: Then you simply continue to the Reiteralm and treat yourself to a few local delicacies.

Then the long descent to Hinterglemm awaits you. Or “the long descents”: Because you are spoiled for choice. Whether it's a demanding "Pro Line", a moderate "Blue Line" or just a relaxed forest path - you can decide for yourself how you get down.

Between Hinterglemm and Saalbach you can rest a bit on the flat passage along the Saalach and bundle your strength for the ascent up to the Spielberghaus. Here you are spoiled for choice: stop off at the Spielberghaus or drive a little further and make an enjoyable stop at the Burgeralm.
