With exciting stations and magnificent views, Leo's Play Trail captivates hikers of all ages. It starts at the mountain station of the Asitz or Steinbergbahn cable car. A wooden gate welcomes you and guides you on this family-friendly circular hike. You'll walk past play equipment for climbing, balancing, and solving puzzles. If you'd like, you can join a puzzle hunt on this route: At each station, you'll find a board with a quiz question, and you'll enter the answer on your answer card. If you answer it correctly at the end, you'll receive a small surprise at the cable car ticket office.

Crossing the summit of the Kleiner and Großer Asitz mountains and past a reservoir, you'll reach wonderful rest areas with panoramic views. A special highlight is the Asitz Nature Cinema. A final stop for refreshments rounds off this great family outing. Leo's Play Trail is open from July to the beginning of October.

We ran this distance with an 11 month old baby. This route is very easy to do with a baby carrier but also with a stroller with good wheels.
The view / the panorama is awesome. When you arrive at the top of the Scharbergkogel summit cross at 1888 m, you have a wonderful view of the Großglockner. From there …
