A circular trail that focuses on fine regional produce: that's what the Brot- und Morendenweg (Bread and Morenden Trail) in the Lesach Valley promises. At a good twelve kilometers long and with approximately 400 meters of ascent and descent, it's ideal for families with children who can already hike independently for a few hours.
From the starting point in Klebas, you first cross the rushing Gail River and then follow a pleasant forest path through the woods to the first alpine pasture, the Steineckenalm. Like something out of a fairytale, the small hut stands in the middle of a green meadow and invites you to enjoy your first snack. Recharged, you continue your hike, where several more highlights await: the bee educational trail, another hut, and finally, a beautiful hike along the Gail River.
