Inspired by Veronika and Michael from WanderVerliebt, we set off today into the beautiful Ahr Valley. In bright sunshine and perfect hiking weather, we began our hike full of anticipation. However, shortly after setting off, construction work forced us to re-plan – so we headed back to the starting point and in the opposite direction.

The Gipfelweg (summit trail) is a challenging but beautiful circular hike in the Ahr Valley, leading over three prominent peaks: Schrock, Steinerberg, and Kreuzberg. The ascent to the Teufelsloch (Devil's Hole) is definitely worth it!

Today's Mother's Day tour, Hornberg, Steinerberg (cake super tasty and fluffy), Schrock, Teufelsloch. Last year I was at Krausberg, today something more challenging😅💪. Good thing that 3/4 of the route was in the forest, even though I was there at 8 a.m., it was nice and warm today🙋🏼‍♀️.
