On this tour, you'll head to the beautifully situated Pillersee Lake in the Pillersee Valley of the same name. While you'll start the tour on a relatively flat route, you'll gain a few more meters of elevation in the second half.
It starts in Zell am See. You'll cycle towards Saalfelden with a view of the Steinernes Meer (Steinern Sea). The route continues along the Saalach River to Lofer, before the moderate climb begins. You'll soon reach Pillersee Lake – time for a (swimming) break.
The climb continues until you cross the Grießen Pass at an altitude of 1,000 meters. You'll be rewarded with a rapid descent back to Saalfelden, before pedaling leisurely back to Lake Zell.

There is almost always a stream or small, clean river next to the bike path. A small section is made of gravel, but can still be ridden on a racing bike.
Almost the entire route can be completed without a busy road.
