The circular tour over Gstaad's local mountain, Eggli, boasts wonderful views from the summit, great places to stop for refreshments along the way, and, of course, the thrilling descent back to the village. You can do the tour in either direction.
From Gstaad's village center, you first head for the gently flowing Saane River, which leads you toward the Chalberhöni Valley. There, the climb through the quiet side valley begins. Passing stately wooden farmhouses, old log cabins, and cozy chalets, the single-lane asphalt road makes the uphill climb easier. After a good ten kilometers and a few bends, you'll reach Eggli and enjoy the magnificent panoramic view from the treeless summit meadow.
Both the Alpbeizli Vorder Eggli and the Eggli mountain restaurant a little further down are worth a visit before returning to Gstaad via gravel roads. For single trail fans, there is the opportunity to ride down a technically challenging trail under the cable car at the mountain restaurant.

The first tour in Gstaad took us over the Eggli Loop. The tour is relatively short, but always a right slope. Above is a pretty Besenbeiz with the most beautiful view. In Gstaad there was a final beer 🍺. The bike group is getting bigger, there are seven of us, and it works.
