Hiking

What is more beautiful than a hike to a lake? Exactly, a hike to a promising mountain lake. And on this 15-kilometer tour you will even pass four picturesque mountain lakes, which are connected by a panoramic path.

The starting point of the tour is at the Hahnenkammbahn mountain station. From Kitzbühel you can take a relaxed gondola up to the mountains at 1,650 meters. In the Hahnenkammstüberl you can take a break to get in the mood. Do you want to move first? Then save yourself the detour at the end of your tour.

You start your hike and soon reach the Ehrenbachhöhe reservoir. The blue water of the lake and the surrounding peaks provide a magnificent backdrop for your tour. Enjoy the fantastic distant view of the Wilder Kaiser and the Kitzbühel mountains. It continues with great views: you hike uphill on the panoramic hiking trail towards Pengelstein, accompanied by a unique view.

Let the beautiful mountain landscape work on you. If you feel like taking a break, you can stop at the banks of the three other lakes - Brunnsee, Pengelsteinsee and Usterkarsee. You will then reach the Ehrenbachhöhe and the top station of the Hahnenkammbahn faster than you would like.

This hike led from the Hahnenkamm to the Pengelstein and touched on the four idyllic mountain lakes Brunn reservoir, Pengelsteinsee, Hiesleggsee and Ehrenbachhöhe reservoir. Always above the tree line, this was a wonderful panoramic tour with views of the Kaiser Mountains, the Loferer Steinberge and the Zillertal Alps. The paths are sometimes pathy, often unfortunately wider roads. The weather cloudy-sunny …

This hike is the original "Four Lakes Trail to Pengelstein" route, although one section of the return route has been diverted due to construction and currently corresponds to the outward route.
The tour begins at the top station of the Hahnenkammbahn in Kitzbühel and leads to Pengelstein and back.
It's a challenge to describe the route - the photos speak …

The hike was repeated with the goal of finding my lost sunglasses. The route was also extended to include a walk around the Sonnenrast reservoir. The glasses were indeed found.
This time, we were able to fully enjoy the distant views we had missed due to yesterday's fog.
Always a worthwhile hike.

With the Hahnenkamm Bahn up and down a very nice tour with a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains such as the Wilder Kaiser, the Kitzbüheler Horn and the snow-covered uncles like probably 😀 Großglockner and Co.

Beautiful high tour with many great views of the Kitzbühel Alps. On the way 3 (artificial) mountain lakes. All on good paths, but it requires a bit of physical condition.

Today we were supposed to go a little higher up and so we took the Fleckalmbahn to swing us comfortably up 🚡😄
On the way to Pengelstein, the many lifts make it unmistakably clear who is in charge here in winter⛷️⛷️⛷️ Some fairly new, partly elaborately built MTB trails attract the audience of tomorrow and ensure that hikers and bikers …

Unfortunately, some paths are currently closed due to construction work, so you often have to walk the same way there and back
