Your heart rate won't stay high for long on this three-pass tour, as it's only a short hop from the village center in Andermatt to the first hairpin bends of the Oberalp Pass. Thankfully, the road flattens out the closer you get to the pass, allowing you to enjoy the view of the lake to your right.
After a photo at the pass sign, the long descent through the Surselva begins. The mountain scenery of Graubünden is truly breathtaking! Once you arrive in Disentis, the route continues to the Lukmanier Pass. A long, but never particularly steep, stretch of smooth asphalt takes you up a good 900 meters in elevation to the Ospizio at the end of the reservoir.
The second descent is also captivating in its beauty: the deeper you roll, the more Mediterranean the Blenio Valley becomes. A cappuccino in Biasca before the final section of the tour? Sounds good. Finally, you head through the Leventina to Airolo. This is where the highlight of the tour begins: the Tremola up to the Gotthard, where your legs burn but your racing bike heart rejoices.

😂🤸♀️☀️
I started early to enjoy the morning mistery of the mountains and the still quiet road to Gotthardpass. I was very surprised with the number of campers, vans, and other vehicles, as well as tents standing along the old road to the pass... …
I loved the clouds wrapping the lush …
