The magnificent high-altitude trail leads you from Hapmes via Bligg to the Gepatschhaus, offering impressive mountain scenery. The hike begins on the eastern shore of the reservoir, south of the dam. First, follow the well-signposted forest path to the junction just before the game feeding area, where you turn off towards Zirbenweg/Hapmes.
The pleasantly landscaped trail takes you through a beautiful mountain forest until you reach the tree line at the Hapmes hunting lodge. From here, the trail continues across the Hapmes plains, lined with alpine meadows and dwarf shrubs. The views of the Weißseespitze and the Gepatschferner glacier are breathtaking and make the hike unforgettable.
After crossing the striking moraine ridge, you reach the Wurmetal valley and finally Bligg. A rest area awaits you there before you descend through the pine forest to the Glacier Road. After a short climb, you finally reach the beautifully situated Gepatschhaus, which perfectly rounds off the four to five-hour tour.
