This route was planned by komoot.
Partly unsecured via ferratas over bare rock. Slippery and partially deep muddy ground. Direction indicated by signs only. No landscaped path - this is a nature trail!
Beautiful walk between the 2 cable cars overlooking Bergen
We needed 8 hours for the hike. With the Ulrikenbahn to the summit. No parking at the valley station (bus lines 5 and 6). Start of the hike when it is foggy. Digital help (Komoot) recommended. Nice hike, 13 km, to Fløi mountain station. Mountain hiking trail not as perfect as in Germany. Damp, wet, paths, even in sunshine. Magnificent view of the fjord landscape.
A beautiful, but strenuous, introduction to hiking in Norway. Take the cable car from Bergen to Ulriken, then across the Vidden plateau, traversing the constant rocky ups and downs to Floyen. From there, take the cable car down to Bergen.
At the beginning we spent quite a long time looking at the Fløyen goats and the trolls, later at the beautiful views and of course took far too many photos. I have no idea whether the paths are always so muddy and flooded, but it had rained a lot in the last few days. So we had to jump from stone to stone quite often and balance over stones or moldy wooden planks. Conclusion: It was a very nice, varied tour.
Very beautiful and sometimes challenging hike on Ulriken and on the Vidden Trail on Fløyen. Great views, over rocks, stones, paths and through moor, many small lakes and sheep. Very worth it!
A very beautiful, but at times very challenging, tour that requires surefootedness. The path is rocky and stony for long stretches. The larger mountain lakes serve as drinking water reservoirs, and you can refill your drinking water supplies here.
