This easy and family-friendly trail lets you combine nature, history and art in a unique experience from the trenches to the summit.
The trail begins with a flat stretch among the vast cultivated fields of Val di Gresta, a peaceful and typical landscape of the area. As you continue, you enter the woods, where you can admire the environmental art installations created by the students of the local elementary schools, which add a creative touch to your walk. Along the trail, you begin to discover the remains of what was an important Austro-Hungarian defensive stronghold of the First World War.
Here, you can walk along the historic trenches dug into the rock, evidence of the war period. The observation posts and underground shelters immerse you in the history of these places. Continuing, you climb to the top of Monte Creino, a true natural terrace that offers you a breathtaking view of Lake Garda and the surrounding mountains.
